Rezerwat Przyrody Meteoryt Morasko

Rezerwat Przyrody Meteoryt Morasko to krajobrazowo-leśny obszar chroniony, utworzony 24 maja 1976 roku, który znajduje się w północnej części Poznania, w okolicy Moraska i graniczy z Suchym Lasem. Zajmuje powierzchnię 54,28 ha i otoczony jest strefą ochronną o powierzchni 101,66 ha. W rezerwacie znajdują się kratery, które według badaczy powstały na skutek upadku meteorytu Morasko około 5 tysięcy lat temu. Wysokie wzniesienie Góra Moraska oraz małe jezioro polodowcowe Zimna Woda to jego najważniejsze elementy.

Rezerwat jest domem dla cennych gatunków roślin, takich jak lilia złotogłów i kopytnik pospolity oraz rzadkich ptaków, w tym lelka kozodoja i dzięcioła czarnego. W obrębie rezerwatu znajdują się ścieżki dydaktyczne z tablicami informacyjnymi, co sprzyja edukacji ekologicznej.

W ciągu ostatnich lat dokonano wielu odkryć meteorytów, w tym największego w Polsce, ważącego 261 kg, znalezionego w 2012 roku. Rezerwat stanowi ważne miejsce do badań i edukacji na temat meteorytów oraz ochrony unikalnych ekosystemów.
